Healthy Choice!!

Most people are sugar lovers, they crave sweets, and endulge in chocolate whenever they want. However there are others who must keep in mind that they have to limit their sugar consumption in order to keep their sugar levels down and continue to live healthy. The following recipe is for diabetics, there is no reason why someone diagnosed with diabetes should stay away from cookies when there are alternate recipes. For everyone that needs or wants to keep their sugar levels down enjoy this classic oatmel cookie recipe with a twist of healthy!!

                                                                          Ingredients:
1/2 cup margarine
1 egg
1 tsp sucaryl solution
1/4 cup milk
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
                                                                          1 cup rolled oats
                                                                          1/2 cup raisins- optional if you want oatmeal raisin cookies


Preparation:
Cream margarine. Add beaten egg, sucaryl solution, and milk. Sift and
mix dry ingredients and then add to first mixture. Beat in vanilla,
raisins, and rolled oats. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet and
bake.

You can use 1/4 cup margarine and 1/4 cup applesauce or 1 banana instead
of using the full amount of margarine.

  1. I tried the recipe and it was exquisite. I always taught oatmeal cookies were very plain, but with this recipe I have found a new admiration for oatmeal cookies. I just wanna thank FannyB for posting this great recipe. I hope to see more recipes posted by the user.
